Clementine Cutie

Today I am 12 weeks along with our first baby. And apparently the baby is a size of a clementine! What an amazing thing God has given us! I really pray we have a healthy pregnancy and healthy baby.

The past three weeks have been really fun. We went to Disneyland with our good friends, the Castro’s, that was amazing! Walking around Disneyland pregnant was really hard, and I got tired a lot but tried to push through it because I didn’t want to slow anyone down. My husband started a new job with his company, and is now what they call a Site Surveyor. We are so blessed and so excited for him to continue with this company. He has come a long ways in a short amount of time. He started in the warehouse, was promoted in June to being an Installer on the roof, and now this! God is good.
This past weekend we celebrated my mom’s 60th birthday. We had fun, went out to lunch together and then had some Angel Food Cake my grandma made for the occasion. Ron had National Guard Drill so he was not able to go to church with us. Luckily, though, he got off in time on Sunday to celebrate and have lunch with us.

I’ve noticed I’ve started getting some stretch marks, so I am now using Trader Joe’s coconut butter which smells and feels AMAZING! I know my body will change, and it’s worth it to have a healthy baby. I am no longer craving hot Cheetos like I was the past few weeks, but I have been wanting orange juice! My last Dr. Appointment we did not get an ultrasound, however, the doctor used a Doppler and we were able to hear the heartbeat. It was so awesome and such a relief knowing my baby is growing like it should be. It sounded like a “swoosh-swoosh-swoosh” really fast. I’m glad my mom was able to be there for it as well as Ron. She got super emotional, which of course makes my heart happy.

My next doctor’s appointment is on April 9th and I doubt we will get an ultrasound then. However, my official 20 week ultrasound is set for May 12th! We will be able to find out the gender then, too!!! (although I am secretly hoping for a little girl) But I am going to try to keep a surprise until my baby shower in July! Lots of exciting things coming for us, can’t wait to see the baby again!
