Fourteen and Finally Feeling Fabulous

This past week I’ve started to feel human again. Haven’t been suffering from morning sickness like I was in the weeks prior. Last Wednesday, my husband and I got to have our NT ultrasound (Nuchal Translucency) to check for anything that looks like it genetic deformities or issues. We would definitely keep the baby no matter what, but I used this opportunity to see my little sweet pea!

The last time I saw my baby with an ultrasound I was only 6 weeks along. This time, It looks like an actual baby! We could see it’s fingers and nose and mouth. It was so amazing. I loved it! Baby was really active inside my tummy- jumping and moving. Was so amazing to witness. Baby is now the size of a large lemon which is INSANE to think about! My stomach has popped out a bit, but I am only 14 weeks along so I decided I better start exercising to stay healthy.

This week Ron has been making my lunches for me every day, so sweet of him. I don’t give him enough credit! Without trying to, I’ve lost 4 pounds just from packing a sandwich and not buying cafeteria food. I attribute this to being overweight and eating healthy. We’ve also been walking Daisy, our dog, almost every day. She used to hate walks but I think she’s getting more used to them. She’s a terrible walking partner and likes to stop every 5 feet to sniff. I’m ok with that, it’s her time outside and since we live in a condo right now, it’s only fair I let her explore the outside world.

I haven’t had any cravings, but my flaming desire for Hot Cheetos seems to have vanished. I’m also trying to drink more water so perhaps this has helped as well. Everyone is looking forward to finding out if Baby Pierce is going to be a little boy or a little girl! We are waiting (as patiently as possible). For now, we are just enjoying the fact that our baby is progressing and growing and becoming a healthy little human!
