I’m officially four months
pregnant. Where is the time going?! I have my 16 week appointment today, so I’m
leaving work early. YAY! My husband, however, cannot go with me because he has to
work. Which I’m actually really happy
about! He just started a new job and so
he is getting into his own routine. I’m
really proud of him, but also proud of me.
I’ve stuck by him through the good AND the bad. That’s what marriage is
about- 100 percent effort from both of us. I think most couples struggle the
first year of being married, but just to be sure we are headed in the right
direction, we’ve chosen to seek out some marriage counseling. We both have a lot to work on individually
and we are SO different that it only made sense. So far, and we are only a month into it, the
counseling has really helped us communicate much better and also give us
insight into how the other person is feeling.
Sometimes we are too busy being a right-fighter to be happy. Anyways, enough of that. We are very happy and excited for what the
future has in store for us!
I’m going to transition into something completely
different. I don’t cook a whole lot. Ron knows this, my family knows this,
everyone knows. But last week I
attempted to make my favorite dish in the world! It doesn’t have a name so I call it “my
favorite wings”. It’s a super easy
recipe and I think it came out great! My
mom used to make this for me as a kid after much begging from me. I seriously
loved it so much!

Turned out so yummy! |
It’s only four ingredients:
Chicken wings/drumsticks, Catalina Dressing, Onion mix and
Pineapple-Apricot preserves. Bake in the
oven at 375 degrees (F) for an hour with a cover over it, and then another 40
minutes without to brown the chicken. It
turned out perfect. I plan on making
this about twice a month. This dish DOES require the use of napkins!
When the baby comes, I want to be able to cook dinner and
eat as a family, instead of always eating out.
I think it’s important not only for
my child to be healthy, but also to spend quality time together. I hope they like my chicken dish as much as I
did growing up!
