Truck full of Turkeys

Last Thursday and Friday I had to be at work at 5:45am for the Holiday Food Drive.  I was helping to host the Turkey Drop, which is our agency’s way of collecting turkeys from people donating them, and turning them in to a nearby food bank.  I was in charge of taking the photographs, and I had a blast.  It was cold, and early, but all in all we collected 387 Turkeys weighing in at nearly 5,500 pounds of bird!  All the hard work was worth it knowing a lot of families could celebrate this Thanksgiving.

Truck full of Turkeys!

Because I was up so early. I was tired.  Right after work I came home and took a short nap before Ron was supposed to get home.  One of the days I woke up to a dozen red roses on the pillow next to me.  I love flowers, and so I knew my husband had been thinking about me throughout the day!  Can I just say how much I love him and appreciate all of the small things he does for me?  I’m truly blessed.  After I woke up from my nap and saw my roses, we decided to go out to dinner at Chevy’s on the River.  I ordered a large Cranberry Margarita and he had two Bulldog Margaritas.  We had so much fun, I love our spontaneous date nights!
